Monster leech swallows giant worm

The Giant Red Leech… have grown so big that they no longer simply suck blood but now actively hunt giant blue worms and suck them down like spaghetti. The new footage shows the leech detecting a worm’s trail and following the scent like a sniffer dog. When it encounters its prey it quickly latches on and moves its lips up and down the iridescent blue body. “It was either searching for an end to grab, or was working out whether it was too big to eat” said documentary director Paul Williams. “When it found an end it started to suck. It was incredible.”

I’m not sure what freaks me out the most… the sniffing, the swiftness or the slurping. Witness the horror for yourself:

Odd average dice

Odd dice

If ever I see some odd dice, more often than not I’ll pick them up. It’s not like I need any more than I’ve already got… it’s kind of like a calling. To give these unloved oddities a good home.

I was pleasantly surprised to see that these latest rescue dice weren’t your common or garden D6s. They were both missing numbers 1 and 6. I’d browsed through enough dice emporiums to know that they must surely be average dice. These feature less of the extreme results and more of the intermediate numbers (that is 2, 3, 3, 4, 4, 5).

I didn’t as yet have any average dice in my burgeoning collection so I hastily liberated them from their dull and dusty lives in my local charity shop for the princely sum of 10 pence.

However on closer inspection I soon realised that they were not what I’d thought they were! Each die actually had the following numerical distribution: 2, 2, 3, 3, 4, 5. So they were weighted to be lower than average rollers. How odd!

I don’t have a clue what they were used for, or indeed what they could be used for, but I’d like to know and am open to any unusual ideas!

Ninja Dice

Ninja Dice

Had a wee shot of Ninja Dice the other day. I need to try it again, but it could be the best dice game that I’ve played so far. It keeps all the players involved even when it’s not their turn. While the main player tries to infiltrate the target residence, the other players’ arrows are flying left, right and centre causing coins to change hands. Good fun!
